I hope that everyone has an upcoming Happy St. Patrick’s Day! A special thank you to everyone that attended the February meeting at Sammio’s in Fayetteville. Amy Vega did an outstanding job presenting on “Nursing Novella’s.” The presentation provided everyone with a great evening of reflection. Our District is moving forward with the Cookbook fundraiser which is quite exciting. The NCNA Special Projects application is due by March 30, 2010. Please keep the great ideas coming!
I have some great news for everyone! Ernest Grant-NCNA President has confirmed that he will be our guest speaker on May 11, 2010. Our meeting will be held at Sampson Regional Medical Center. We want this event to be a success and it will require participation from everyone. Please begin to think of how we can best coordinate this evening and generate attendance. This meeting will be held during Nurses Week! Thank you to Lisa Smith for arranging the initial contact and securing the date with Ernest.
I look forward to seeing all of you at the March meeting. Please continue to recruit and encourage active membership. It is my vision and prayer that District 14 continues to be a leading and vital force within the NCNA Organization. Thank you for all of your hard work, ideas, and contributions.
