Highsmith Rainey Intensive Care Unit

The Highsmith Rainey Intensive Care Unit received Hallmarks recognition in April. 2007. The unit, staffed by 15 RNs, had undergone a major transition throughout the past year; converting from an acute ICU to long term ICU; all without a decrease in morale! Building on this success, Debra Nowak took the lead in preparing for Hallmarks’ recognition; coordinating the expertise of the RNs within the unit.
