If you are a member of a NCNA Structural Unit (examples are: NCNA Membership Districts/Regions, Committees, Councils (including NP Council Regions) and you need to plan a CE activity, see Planning Continuing Education for Structural Units below. If further questions, contact Belinda Lee at NCNA for assistance.

If you are a member of NCNA and are interested in what your local district or region is doing but do not know where or when their activities are held you can email the Membership Coordinator for information.

Planning Continuing Education for Structural Units

The process for conducting CE activities for structural units will be the following:

  1. The individuals planning education will conduct a needs assessment among the members of the district, region or council.
  2. The structural unit planner will then contact the NCNA CE Consultant with ideas generated by the needs assessment for content and speakers.
  3. The NCNA CE Consultant, with input from the structural unit, will plan the activity to assure that the activity is consistent with the ANCC guidelines.
  4. Once the activity plans are firm, the NCNA staff will generate the paperwork for the activity and send it to the structural unit planner(s) involved with instructions for proceeding with the event.

This process requires that structural unit planners make timely contact with the NCNA CE Consultant in order for this process to go forward. A minimum of two (2) weeks is required. Any questions should be directed to Belinda Lee at ce@ncnurses.org or 800 626 2153.
