Legislative Representation for Registered Nurses and the Nursing Profession
NCNA maintains a registered nurse lobbyist who represents NCNA before the General Assembly, monitors study committees/legislative groups between sessions, and represents NCNA in the regulatory arena. See NCNA's Legislative Program.

Nurse of the Day at the NC General Assembly
Serving as the Nurse of the Day at the General Assemby is a valuable service to members and legislative staff of the North Carolina General Assembly. It is an opportunity for registered nurses to demonstrate the uniqueness of their profession. Many of our members who have already served as Nurse of the Day have expressed that the experience has validated their choice of the nursing profession.
