NCNA Delegate Information:
The North Carolina Nurses Association provides this information to fully inform you as you plan to participate in the 2008 Annual Convention—The Privilege of Caring.

The NCNA House of Delegates (HOD) is held at the annual NCNA convention on Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Delegates are asked to pass bylaws amendments and reference proposals which focus on NCNA and nursing issues. There is also an Issues Forum on the evening before the HOD from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Based on suggestions from the Issues Forum, the Reference Committee can make changes to the reference proposals so that the discussion and action in the HOD can go more smoothly. Districts/Regions are urged to discuss the proposed reference proposals, bylaws revisions and other matters coming before the House of Delegates at a business meeting prior to the convention. This year we have nine reference proposals.

Reference Proposals

RP #1: 2009 NCNA Legislative, Regulatory, and Political Platform

RP #2: Support for Educational Advancement of Diploma and Associate Degree Nurses

RP #3: Supporting Advancement of Salaries for A.D.N. Faculty
