With the 2021 legislative session underway – and a new version of the SAVE Act expected to be introduced soon – the John Locke Foundation has officially logged its support for legislation granting Full Practice Authority to Advanced Practice Registered Nurses.
“There are far too many cases in health care where government intervention results in restricted access to care and higher health care costs. Outdated supervisory requirements for North Carolina’s advanced practice registered nurses check both of those boxes. The John Locke Foundation supports the ability of highly qualified nurses to practice at the top of their license and have full practice authority,” said Jordan Roberts, Government Affairs Associate at the John Locke Foundation.
