This session explores the vital role of nurse entrepreneurs in advancing public safety through the provision of Department of Transportation (DOT) physicals. Participants will gain insight into how certified medical examiners contribute to public health by ensuring that commercial drivers meet essential health standards. The session will highlight the intersection of clinical expertise, business ownership, and regulatory compliance, offering a real-world example through the work of Dr. Alnita Jackson and her business, Exams Are Us.
