Speaker(s)	Alix John, NCNA Manager of Political Engagement Representative Eric Ager Representative Eric Ager has served in the North Carolina House of Representatives since 2023, representing Buncombe County. A small business owner and community leader, he has dedicated his career to supporting western North Carolina through economic development, environmental stewardship, and expanding access to quality healthcare. Representative Ager has also been a strong supporter of the nursing profession, serving as a sponsor of the 2025 APRN Full Practice Authority legislation to help strengthen North Carolina’s healthcare workforce and improve patient access to care. Senator Julie Mayfield Senator Julie Mayfield has served in the North Carolina Senate since 2021, representing Buncombe County and western North Carolina. An attorney and former Asheville City Council member, she has dedicated her career to public service and strengthening North Carolina’s communities through thoughtful policymaking and advocacy. Senator Mayfield has also been a strong supporter of healthcare access and the nursing profession, serving as a sponsor of the 2025 APRN Full Practice Authority legislation to help expand patient access to care and strengthen the state’s healthcare workforce. Representative Brian Turner Representative Brian Turner has served in the North Carolina House of Representatives since 2015, representing Buncombe County. A small business owner and longtime community leader, he has dedicated his legislative career to strengthening North Carolina’s communities through thoughtful policymaking and expanded access to essential services. Representative Turner has also been a strong supporter of the nursing profession, serving as a sponsor of the 2025 APRN Full Practice Authority legislation to help strengthen the state’s healthcare workforce and improve patient access to high-quality care.
