The Council on Diversity and Belonging in Nursing serves as a cornerstone for fostering inclusiveness within NCNA and the profession while advancing the nursing professions' role in achieving health equity. The Council is composed of diverse nurses from various specialties and career stages including those from various demographics such as religion, sexual orientation, race and ethnicity, gender, ability, and age.
Mission Statement
The NCNA Council on Diversity and Belonging in Nursing empowers diverse nurses through intentional networking, advocacy, collaboration, and education. The Council fosters an inclusive environment where all voices are valued and aims at creating meaningful changes in nursing by promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging across the organization.
Vision
To foster an inclusive nursing community and promote diversity in nursing leadership to strengthen the profession.
