The Council of Nurse Practitioners (NCNA-NP) is an active entity within the North Carolina Nurses Association. The Council works collaboratively with the NCNA Board of Directors to identify issues important to NPs and their patients and to develop strategies to address these needs. Through the Council, NPs have the opportunity to network and advocate for NP issues in North Carolina and to promote the recognition of NPs as providers of high-quality, personalized, and cost-effective care.
The NP Council is divided into geographic regions across the state. This regional structure is designed to enhance communication, networking, continuing education and leadership development opportunities at the grassroots level.
