Nursing informatics is the specialty that integrates nursing science with technology, analytics, and information sciences to manage data with the goal of improving health, supporting research, creating workflow efficiencies, and increasing safety in the healthcare environment. Nursing informatics activities include the design through implementation and evaluation of informatics solutions and technologies in multiple healthcare domains.
CoNI Mission Statement
The Council of Nursing Informatics (CoNI) is committed to advancing the knowledge and skills of informatics science with our members. The council works to include all aspects of nursing informatics through continuing education presentations, topical discussion sessions, and networking. The council is committed to inclusivity and invites different experiences for the improvement of all members.
Vision
CoNI's vision is to enhance awareness and engagement within the nursing community and beyond. Our newly established board is dedicated to promoting pivotal activities that ensure our efforts are widely recognized and supported, driving innovation and excellence in nursing informatics.
