Members of the Southeast Regional Advisory Council are dedicated to serving as a regional voice for nurses, collaborating among nurses, supporting growth, and promoting engagement in initiatives.

The council aligns with NCNA's purpose by promoting advocacy, professional practice, leadership, nurse engagement, and health equity and community impact in North Carolina.


Mission Statement

The mission of the Southeast Regional Advisory Council is to advance the nursing profession by amplifying the voices of nurses in the region, fostering collaboration and leadership, and supporting advocacy, education, and evidence-based practice in alignment with the mission and strategic goals of the North Carolina Nurses Association.


Vision

To foster member engagement through networking, information sharing, and opportunities that provide nurses with a voice and a strong sense of community and to enhance professional development through educational outreach that increases nurses’ ability to provide high-quality care and contribute to the advancement of nursing.


Council Goals

  • Conduct in-person networking events for members and guests that increase a sense of belonging.
  • Conduct electronic educational needs assessments and develop subsequent CNE offerings where attendees report an increase in knowledge or skill that can be incorporated into their practice.
